Hello Dakka!

Tomorrow 1/15 9 other gents and myself will be gathering for a friendly tournament in the basement. Thankfully our large social circle doesn't need an FLGS, as there are plenty of us and plenty of home made tables and terrain.

Now I will be fielding World Eaters for this, and would like any last minute feedback on what I will be running.

General Tactic is to rush with the princes screening the rhino's, Preds sit back and handle enemy armor. Not very complex tactic, but it has been working for me. 3 MC's can weather A LOT of fire, and as they become a fast prime target my semi-glaring weakness of low troops has been less troublesome. I tried for a heavily redundant list that offers my opponent many things they really want to kill fast, but generally they never have enough fire power to handle all of the valid threats before I crash into them HARD. My opponents will be: 3 ork (horde, and BW spam), 2 eldar (Fire Prism's out the yin yang, lotsa Dire Avengers), 1 DA (either DW assault or played and 'nilla marines), 1 Nids (strange mix of MC and gaunts n' goyles), 1 necron (newbie, first time playing him so not scared here), 1 SM or Guard (blueberries if marines, Leman Russ and Chimaera spam if guard). Other models I have available: 2x Dreads w/ 2x DCCW, 8 Khorne Bikers, 60+ zerkers (sadly no more rhino's yet), 24 SLD's, 1 Land Raider, 1 Kharn the Betrayer. C&C welcome, thank you in advance.

And if you're asking us to write a list, and you , assume that is what this forum is about, youre wrong. in here you either ask us in the subject to write you a list, on you present a list for C&C. Enough with the rant. GET KHARN! that is my humble (or not) words of advice.

Well the problem here is as I listed in my first post, I only have the two rhino's currently, also I have no oblits. Personally I don't like the model, nor the unit in general really. I know that is blasphemous words for a chaos player, but it's just the way I am, I really prefer Predator's. But either way I don't have the oblits. As far as Kharn goes... well I do like him, but I feel like DP's are just so much more cost effective for what I get. They screen my rhino's, they are rather hard to kill, and they allow me a nice redundancy.. Kharn is just a giant F&#@ me light on a rhino full of zerks. I feel he really only becomes viable when the points allow for a LR crammed full of zerks and him.

What all do you have? Khorn Princes are, imo, the worst of the lot with only getting +1 attack. Also by and large Kharn is much more effective at killing. If you take the princes its not any better than just using smoke or utilizing cover. You really should look into getting another Rhino or two man. If you hate Obliterators what about Defilers or Chosen?

Yeah, maybe one prince and Kharn, that might be more viable. Then you kill the prince to summon ze GDOK

You cant do that, a Greater Demon can only come into play via a Champion, Sorcerer, Aspiring Sorcerer or Lord.

Daemon princes are all I have for hq's. I do sometimes run them as unmarked with warptime when points allow. Well I do have kharn, but as I stated before, he makes whatever squad and rhino he is with way too much of a target imho, I don't like using him unless I have enough points to put his squad in a LR. As far as more rhino's, I'd rather take sld to give myself more troops. Berserkers just start to eat up too many points at this points level. As far as defilers or vindi's go, I felt they lend themselves more to anti troop with their scattering ordnance,(dp's and berserkers are enough anti troop) thats why I bought preds for a dedicated anti tank. As stated before the other models I have are 8 bikers, 60+ berserkers, a LR, 2x double dccw dreadnoughts, and 24 sld. The reason I have all those extra models is because I bought them from a friend who wanted rid of them. I only bought, and wanted a small 1k-1250 WE list, but for 87$, I couldn't pass so many second hand models up.
