Hello everyone, BigDominus here!

Now, the whole thing of blogging is a relatively new thing to me, and this is my first real attempt at one, so please, no matter how bad it can get sometimes, just hang in there with me! PLEASE, leave comments so I can improve in my blogging, my army bulding/painting and get to know the community better. I'm a very nice person and always am looking to better myself!

Let me give you a little bit about me in the wargamming scene:

After seeing my friends necron army, I instantly fell in love with 40k. I thought painting models and playing the game were really cool, and I really want to try and get into it. At first I was a little hesistant since there's so much that goes into this game, but the one thing that really swooned me over, was my first ever trip to Adepticon last year in 2011. Watching everyone play and have such a good time and seeing such amazingly painted and edited models, really got to me! I immediately went around from my friends, to people they were pitted them against, asking what army I should choose, and what each army was like.

Now you're probably asking yourself "That's fine and dandy Big D, but what army DID you choose?" Well, to answer that, I picked Grey Knights. I know, I know, many people think they're op, a jarbled mess of lore, and finally just flat out not a beginners army, but PLEASE hear me out!

Now, at Adepticon, I was very much into the hype, along with everyone, that the Grey Knight Codex was being released early there. Since it was a fresh army, with recently updated rules, as well a really cool back story and theme (they're the good guys, daemons are the bad guys), I figured that's what'd I'd start with!

It's been a long time since Adepticon, and to be honest, I really just started building my army. Litterally. Life and school just sometimes takes ahold of you and doesn't let you go! I finally now have the time to devote myself to 40k and am taking advantage of it!

Now that that's out of the way, lets get to the meat and potatoes of this blog!

I haven't played a game of warhammer yet, and I know the general rules, but it hasn't REALLY caught on, so I had my long time 40k friend help me build my army in which it's starting off like this: My army is a purifier spam, which I'm trying to be a tac list.

1850 points- Purifier spam

HQ- Useless Crowe
Troops- 30 Purifiers, in combat squads of 5 (2 psycannon, 2 halberds, 1 hammer)
Elite- Vindicare Assassin
Fast Transport- Stormraven with TL asscannon/multi melta

The list as you see is obviously not complete (+ I'm at work and don't have my codex/rough draft list available to me) so when I get home I'll up date it.

I also want to let you guys know, YES I AM painting my models! I have Crowe and the Vindicare painted, and I'm currently working on the stormraven. I also realized last night while painting that I accidentally glued the top tail piece backwards so that the flaps are facing forwards......ooops.

I'm really enojying building and painting, it just takes a lot of time for me since I'm THAT guy who has to get every little detail right.

My question to you guys is: Is there anyway that can speed up my painting? I'll try and attach some pictures so I can show you guys my theme (Shocker, it's gold, silver, and red!). I've read many of the articles on here for painting, but it really seems like it can be a bitch sometimes.

Alright guys, I'm out for today, I need to do some work! Thank for reading and I'm looking forward to posting back and reading your replies.

Thank you again!
