All your list has is a lv.2, and 2 lv.1's?
I'd find a way to fit in at least a lv.3, preferably a lv.4.
If you're going to take a BSB, he needs to live more than he needs to stand around with a magic banner. I know the wight king is very survivable without anything extra, but it's still worth the investment in some magical protection so you can get the most out of the BSB all game.
As it stands; you've got 4 heroes, and 1 lord. You easily drop on of the hero vamps too boost your vamp lord up lv.4, and kit out your BSB.

Considering the only spell il be using is invocation of Nehek, yes this is adequate.

He has the screaming banner for a reason plus he will be standing around with konrad and another vampire so i dont expect him to be taking challenges.
a vampire lord dishing out an average of 15 attacks, making you take tests at minus 3 or 5 Ld, plus a horde of zombies that will be raised faaaar beyoned its starting size i believe is well worth the lack of magical equipment on a bsb.

Without a mortis engine hanging around I wouldn't be too sure about getting of invocation, you get a +2 to cast from a lvl 2, throwing more than 2 dice at it is going to eat through your power dice too quickly and 2d6+2 isn't too hard to dispel. If your expecting to put your characters in a zombie unit and keep it big you really need a better caster, or else put your characters in the skeletons.
The terror/stack -LD modifiers could be nasty but again if you put your guys with the skeletons you can take the banner on the skeleton unit and then take magic armour. It just occurred to me to get all those modifiers your heros all need to be in the same unit which is apparently a zombie unit starting at 30... that's doesn't seem like a very good death star even with the terror factor.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

essentialy its a heavy hitting list the zombie drain the unit and the skeletons are extra wounds and combat res for the vampire lord the grave gaurd just hit hard whatever they go against and the crypt horrors are the line breakers.

I still think the ghoul lists are still running strong but this is a fairly decent idea so long as you can keep up the raising.
One of the ideas I had was to spent a whole bunch of points on lords and heroes and elite units then work on raising more to my core units. (theorycrafting ofc)
They do raise a good point about the engine it will definitely make your life easier to a degree
I still find it hard myself to look at the undead army book since I used to play it competitively, although the points have finally dropped to be appropriate of the new way in which fear and combat work its sad to see zombies and skeletons as basically being just throw away units.
Back in my day!!!~ full unit of 40 zombies and full command would often easily win a combat resolution and force an automatic flee due to fear, alas no longer. Automatically Appended Next Post: Alternatively you can take 2000pts of core gaining 666 zombies and spend 500pts of necromancers and force a resign from your opponent on turn 8 or 10 when you still have about idk, 700 remaining.
