Ok, there is another Warhammer tourney coming up and I am going to try my Brets again. I have to decoded to go more knight heavy and not take an expensive lord and MaA this time.

So what do you guys think? And I still have 115pts

1. Take another Trebuchet if you can
2. I always take the Gromril Great Helm on my BSB purely for the re-rolls for AS which are so handy in keeping him alive, I'd drop the dawnstone to get this on him

Army Win Ratio 2012
OnG 11-2-3
Brets 16-3-3
Dwarfs 2-2-1
Ogres 1-3-3

The Dawnstone gives the BSB a re-rollable armour save and costs 10pts cheaper than the Gromhil Great Helm. And I thought about taking another Trebuchet but the one that I have has never impressed me to much so I have never bought another one.

What about changing one of the 7 KoTR units to grail knights and giving one of the Paladins the grail vow?

Less characters, more dudes with Lances.

The dawnstone gives you a 3+ re-rollable. The gromril great helm gives you a 2+ re-rollable. A 3+ armor save does not a happy BSB make.

Okay, I guess I'm confused then. How does the gromhil helm give him a 2+?

Since I rely on other characters to be killy, my preferred BSB build is Gromil Great Helm and Virtue of Purity. 2+RR/5++ is about as good protection as Brets get.

CHAOS! PANIC! DISORDER!
My job here is done.

Gromil Great Helm- 30pts +1 armour and re-roll armour

Dawnstone + Charmed Shield- 25+5pts, +1 armour, re-roll armour, discount first wound on 2+.

Your current list can't take advantage of this, but this is why you should never ever take the Helm when you've still got the other two items freed up. Of course, for 5 more points, you can get the Enchanted Shield and an extra armour instead of the Charmed effect.
