Hey this is my first post to this forum so sorry if I make any rookie mistakes. I was browsing my necron codex a little while ago and I noticed that while it has the same rule a warscyhe is technically not a power weapon. Do you think this was done on purpose and if so why? Does this have anything to do with 6th edition?

General consensus, even bother the leaked PDF, was that power weapons were going to become AP2.
Leaked PDF also tells us they get a 5+ invulnerable parry save (presumably in close combat) so maybe that's why?

Ever thought 40k would be a lot better with bears?

For 5th edition, the difference between a power weapon and "ignores armor saves" means jack and squat

For the PDF, you only get the Parry 5++ on a power weapon if it has no additional rules, which the warscythe does (2d6 ArPen, +2S)....so again, it means jack and squat.

For actual 6th edition...who the hell knows.

... And Jack has left the building.

6th ed may look something like the leaks everyone is talking about - but the glaring typos in it (the WRONG kind of typos) tell me that it's either a fanw*nk publishing or it's a leaked first draft that will have been altered by the time it escapes is released.

Not that it matters - the 40k players around me have defected to Infinity and WM.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
