Had a weekend to myself for the first time in months after non-stop commissions, so I grabbed some sculpy and after an evening of running lengths to the oven, came out with this lovely lady.

All ready to be cast now!

Pretty cool, but she needs a body to go with that. Looks very Tim Burtonesque.

Yup, she's an 'adaptation' of the death thingy from Hellboy 2, not a copy. As such. Mines got a stretched vertical axis, 'orrid receeding gums like the Mouth of Sauron, a lacy choker, no hair or whatever it was, and a distinct lack of everything below the neck hehe. That crest does look similar though doesn't it? I'm still toying with the idea of adding a veil to her around the back of her head too.

As a bust, it is finished however. I have no plans to do a full sculpt with her.

The concept of busts? Painters like to do them as they allow for some nice emotive painting, reducing the character to just their face/head, and giving you a large space to work on. It's not something most fantasy wargamers ever get into though, and is traditionally in the realm of the historical guys.

No worries, though I don't see how it needed to be 'from somewhere' for it to have a purpose! Art, and expression though it, is the purpose. That's about it really.

Work to go in Painting and Modelling Showcase needs to be finished including paint and base.
