Greetings
So I play Bretonnians almost exclusively and I fancy a change, I was considering wood elves but to be honest I don't think I could realistically play the two most outdated armies without going insane.
I have turned my eyes onto the Tomb Kings instead, I really like the look of this army as the core choices are lets face it piss easy to paint, undercoat, shade, highlight, spot colour, done. I am however a little stuck, I have two ideas for the Tomb Kings stuck in my head.
The first is an Infantry heavy list made up of several small units of archers to get to minimum core cost, the rest made up of constructs and tomb guard bunker with maxed out heroes/lords
The second is Chariot/Cavalry heavy list made up of lots of Chariots that strike hard and fast and have........something to follow up and hit hard again before I crumble to dust

Wait for Vampire Counts. By the accounts I have read they are a better written army.

Are you telling that to every player that has decided upon another army?
On another note, I feel the theme of Chariots very well... Could be cool. Lots of Chariots backed up by Necropolis Knights. Horsemen / Horsemen archers for support? Carrion Birds perhaps, if they are any good... Essentially a fast-moving force.
However, since you play Bretonnia, this might not be as much of a change as you want, since you're already Cavalry-based (I assume).

While I value your opinion it's not very helpful, I'm not interested in starting vampire counts.
Yes that's the issue I'm having as I love the idea of chariot heavy army but think it'll be too simila. I think i'll work on rhe infantry side first with a few constructs and if I need speed can add a couple of battalion boxes and horde the warriors.

There's also the possibility of a Hybrid list. Chariots with Tomb Guard support. Skeleton Horde + Necropolis Knights backup.. Or any combination thereof.
