I'm going to run a blood angels list with a jump-pack librarian for HQ, I'm planning to use this guy cos I have him http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat630002a&prodId=prod1160022a but other than painting him blue instead of black what could I actually do to make him more librarianish. I'm not really up on the fluff and to me the chaplain and librarian models don't seem to have much difference. I'm not a pro modeller so won't manage anything to advanced, but I'm not afraid of cutting and pinning and have some limited green stuff and plasticard skills. Many thanks for your help in advance dakkaites, I'm just a bit stumped for ideas here.

Main thing I would change is the chaplain's weapon over to a force weapon of some sort.

Four things asside from the blue paint usually denote a librarian.

1) Switch the Crozius Arcanum over to a force weapon. A force weapon often has a sort of jagged motif over the side of the blade, but you can just paint it greein instead of blue.

2)Librarians often have the skull with downward pointing horns symbol on them somewhere. Not totally essential, but it would defintiely help the librarian image.

3)Most Librarians have a force hood of some kind either a halo around the top or back of their heads. The effect could also be achieved by painting a portion of the helmet a different color.

4)Lastly, librarians often have a book, scrolls or keys somewhere on their person.
