Hello Dakka
Having just started uni, I figured now would be a good idea to start afresh in the hobby. I have been collecting both 40k and fantasy for over 2 years now, but I have never had a 40k army that I was truly happy with.
Unsurprisingly, as a novice, neither my painting skills nor my list-building skills were particularly of note. I have had several abortive attempts to build competitive armies that look good, but sadly ended up with substandard painting and useless units (I'm looking at you, Chaos possessed).
So anyway, to cut a long story short (too late), I present the Kabal of Agony's Kiss.
Having played around with both Wych cults, Duke lists and raider spams, I decided on a Venom heavy list. The list offers Strong shooting both anti-tank and anti-infantry, while having multiple units to break up a opponent's firing discipline.
Color scheme wise, I've gone for a high-contrast scheme of white and dark blue. This looks suitable striking, and yet at the same time quite menacing. It also has ties to the Eldar colours, specifically Dire Avengers, as both races share the same origin.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Pictures will be uploaded in 24 hours, as I left my WIP in my local store.
WIP currently consists of 2 venoms, shortly to be joined by 10 warriors

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Looks good mate, I think that maybe some paint chipping might help to seperate the white. Apart from that look great!

Agree that paint chipping would separate the white, however I wanted a clean, crisp, almost Eldar like look.
After all, these guys use the Webway to travel, unlikely to get many scratches or dents
Thank you for noticing my blog btw

I've been noticing that more and more people like their Dark Eldar chipped! It's a easy way to add interest to large flat surfaces.

I'm liking your concept but right now the white is a little too clean looking (keeping in mind this is a WIP). Were you planning on shading it a bit with bone or grey? For another option, I had the thought that it might work to make the white act as more of a spot color, by painting the central gunner's section blue as well and keeping the nose white. "Agony's Kiss" could then be a reference to the "fangs" formed by the white nose of the Venom. Just something that popped into my head.

Looking forward to seeing more of your mini's!
