If a group of wytches assault a unit with a Cryptek with a Lightning Field, do they get their 4++ or no save because the strikes are AP5.

My understanding is that nothing can take away an invulnerable save.

IIRC, Wyches get a 4++ from close combat attacks (slight but important difference from Nemesis Warding Staves which grant Invuln when in CC). Since (afaik) lightning field is not a cc attack, they would not get their invuln save.

Would this not fall under the same idea of the Purifier cleansing flame that happens after the assault move is made? its not a close combat attack yet wyche's get their dodge save.

Lightning field's effect goes into effect when they move into assault.

That required an FAQ to give Wytches Dodge against CF.

This also requires to look at the wording of Lightining Field. If the destription says it happens at the same time that Cleansing Flame would then they might get Dodge from a RAI point of view.
