Howdy, I'm a long time lurker first time poster. I've enjoyed following these blogs for ages, the conversion ones especially. It kind of inspired me to start a project of my own.

I've never played any warhammer table top games (too many rules too little time) but I do enjoy painting when I get a chance. As I have a friend who is in the same position we have decided to put together armies and create a drinking game version (dubbed drunkhammer) and since then I have amassed an army of ebay off cuts, all painted by myself.

Recently though I decided to make some pirate orks. I would like to stress I am nowhere near the best painter, but this seems like a friendly forum and have decided to whack some pictures up for some feedback and more importantly some well needed tips! Having looked at the pictures I've noticed the few little mistakes but if anyone could offer some tips on how to make them look a lil better I would be very grateful!

Oh, and they're blue, no racism thank you.

With that said, here's Cap'N Claw:

This guy I like but the wire effect on the whip didn't come out as good as I was hoping :(

I like the blue skin, makes a very unique army! Maybe add a few wires to the claw or a power source.

welcome i started the same as you, browsing dakka inspired me to build an army from a few ebay models i had collected (No idea how to play haha) as the modelling is just bad ass!
Having a blog increased the time i spend modelling and i can already feel my models getting better!
