Hey guys so this is my first time on DakkaDakka I came over here from the warhammer-empire and Librium-online forums and I was interested in posting some pictures of my snail paced empire army. My name is Pete im 18 years old I have been playing all manners of Warhammer since I was 7 or something rediculous like that, I love the hobby but school has become an annoying pain in my a**. This army I have been working on for a little while now although I don't have very much time to put into the hobby I scrap every morsel of time I can find. This Army is painted with a Middenheim feel although the colour's are broken up by using some dull reds and yellows which I think offers a descent tribute to the 90's "Red Period". Concurrent with Middenheim fluff I am not using very many blackpowder weapon's such as cannon and mortar's however I hope to add some pieces in a Hochland theme to give the impression of mercenaries. Well anyway's here some pics of terrain and junk hope you like! Also leave a comment it really helps keep me paiting.
Heroes
First up I have my Marco Colombo model I grabbed with a bunker membership at my local GW I painted this model when I was pretty young 13 I think so there is much room for improvement!
Next Is my captain on horse Fortunately I picked this model up in an auction although he's in rather rough condition I hope to buff him up in the coming year!
Here I have a Teutogen guard model I am using as a stand in Warrior Priest simply because they are sexy models! Also this was my first attempt at NMM and I think it came out alright leave some c&c I would love to hear what you think!
Next I have a bsb/banner model for my state troops in the middenheim feel I gave my best attempt at a freehand wolf although it still remains questionable.
Now I have my unit of spearmen which unfortunately I got back in 7th when spears weren't entirely useless. Leave a comment if you like the lion banner!
Now we move on to my piece of artillery, wish it wasn't in the Middenheim colour scheme but that's trivial!
Now we have a few handgunners which again I wish werent in the Middenheim colour scheme but life get's ya down . Kinda crappy paint job and there's about 30 more of em!
Now we will move on to the Halberdiers I'll show you a couple of smaller group shots which was before the unit got finished!
Now the Finished unit!
Now finally we have a few greatsword's (so named goldswords for being so damn expensive)! Just quick and dirty paintjob the best kind
Here's a random hobbit archer.
and last some terrain which was my first real attempt with making terrain however crappy it might be!
First up with have some standing stones. The board I mounted them on warped a bit. (Meh)
Now we have some ruined rock walls.
Some hills and forests!
A couple of buildings made out of foamboard and matches!
and a big centerpiece I might use for the desert terrain I am now in the process of making sorry for posting it before it's finished!
Anyways guy's that's some of my stuff I am almost finished 10 more halberdiers to beef up my unit to 50 and I have 60 more basecoated and ready to go along with 15 knights and 5 pistoliers a few greatswords and a crap ton of old 7th edition models and some artillery.
hopefully I will be able to finished this mountain of models over the next 5-6 months however it is not likely. One question I would like to pose do you guys think I should paint the remaining 60 halberdiers and the remaining blackpowder in a Hochland theme or not?
Well I am looking forward to hearing your responses and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Cheers,
Pete
