Raef Granger returns to the D6 Generation in Ep 95 to help us prognosticate! Raef, Craig, and Russ look toward the future and try and predicte what events and changes we'll see in 2012 for our favorite hobbies.

But up first: There's the matter of last years predictions! What exactly did we predict would happen in 2011 and how close were we? More importantly...which won of us was most accurate? We find out using our fancy prediction point system.

All that and our other not-too-horrible segments including:
- The Hollywood Minute
- Total Fan Girl
- Do You Ever Notice
- & More

Hey guys...about halfway though the show, and enjoying it so far. I've only made it through your first round of predictions for 2012, and I was gonna call out Raef for his Power Grid prediction, since two Power Grid expansions were already announced for 2012, and they were announced in the last quarter of 2011. Power Grid:The First Sparks, and Power Grid:The Robots. However, I think I'd get negative points, because it looks like both of those were actually released in late 2011...and the "First Sparks" game appears to be a completely separate game, not an expansion. So...Raef's prediction is still legal, I think.

Question for Russ about "Super" Heroica. We had 3 of the sets, so we've played a few games of "3/4 Super Heroica" - but the final part (Draida Bay) just arrived today! Anyway, do you play that you can move the magic doors to anywhere in the whole set, or do they have to stay in the forest? Also, how do you deal with the little brown 4X4 connectors between the sets? Use as a regular movement space?

Super Heroica: We played that terrain abilities only worked for the dungeon they were in, so you couldn't move a magic door outside it's home 'dungeon'.

Also we played the connectors were a space.

Super Heroica works best with a lot of players. At least 4, but more is better!

So was Waterloo, and Gladiator and while not a game the Long, long, long awaited Armires of Antiquity supplement for WaB was relesed too....and they had a 50% off sale which has ended rather than the company being wound up!

I've played KGN once and I have to say I like it, looking forward to many more games this year.

Great show as usual. It was a lot of fun to listen to the predictions and I'm looking forward to seeing what we get in 2012.

Indeed, I pointed it out as it was perhaps the biggest WH release of the year, and Craig was struggling to find what rules had been released.

@Russ:

Glad to hear that the SWTOR books are worth it! I just looked up whos reading them, and it is Marc Thompson!

I was going to recommend him to you, as well as more of the SW audiobooks. Most of these include sounds & music from the movies/series etc. Marc is an excellent reader who does a great job impersonating all sorts of different characters/genders and so forth!

Fate of the Jedi is slow-moving at the beginning, but it picked up the pace with the last couple of books somewhat. I suppose it would be a tentative recommendation from my side. Each is around 13 hours long though, which is a plus!

The other series he did is Legacy of the Force. These are unfortunately abridged, but nontheless pretty cool!

Edit: You might also enjoy Throne of Lies which is written by Aaron Dembski-Bowden and read by John Banks und Beth Chalmes!!

Ow!! Russ takes an early hit!

Xbox 720

Technically it will not be released till 2013, but an announcement counts, right?

Negative Ghostrider.

That's all speculation, we need an official announcement from Microsoft.

Of course, if these rumors are true then that probably DOES mean MS will announce at E3, in which case I'm hosed.

Hey guys, just wanted to point out that one of the movies Craig did his prediction on is John Carter, not John Carpenter. I blame the horrible Disney marketing campaign...you'd think they might mention it's based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' most famous series after Tarzan.

Less QQ, more pew pew!
