I do not have the point sin front of me but I was wondering what people thought of the viability of an army that included the following:

Ghoul King on Terror Geist (with choice of toys up to a total of 500Points)

Vampire BSB on Coven Throne
Possibly 1 Necro with master of the dead (if needed)
Add toys to both of these and do not go over the 500 point limit.

Core of choice to 500 points Built to suit. Big blocks where possible.

2 Terror Geists

How do you think this army would fair in a tournament level game?
Would you want to face it for a friendly game?

I do not have my rules and army books in front of me so be kind in any comments about the composition.

Points wise I may even have enough to fit in a base unit of Hexwraiths.

What do you think?

TG and the throne fufill kinda similar roles as well as the Ghoul King.. hunting monsters, and small groups.

Hexwraiths kinda have an odd niche since they are kinda frail and dont have a ton of attacks.

Things like black knights, crypt horrors, blood knights, graveguard etc can provide good punch and be a bit more versatile due to more attacks.

Prob with a lot of solo stuff is combat res can grease lone stuff fast when fighting groups. Thats my opinion till i see how you spend for core.

Mortis engines, corpse carts etc can help maximize your casting.

Alo placement will be important. Where would you put the necro?

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.

Guess I will have to flesh this idea out a little more.

Maybe one TG in rare with a Mortis Engine

I was thinking of having 50 Ghouls for the core (but would have a problem with Scenarios).

Or 2 units of 40 Skeletons with CMD

Necro would hide behind these units to help them with regrowing units.

Send the solo units to clean up the small stuff and have the big units hold up the dangerous stuff until the opponents small stuff is eliminated and then join in with the big units on flanks and rears.

Will have to do a write down with points to see just how viable it is.
