Looking at WD384 today it seems the new Crypt Horror plastics could be a good basis for making custom/converted Grotesques.

Combining them with various DE bits (especially some of the stuff in the chronos/parasite engine kit) could be a good start.


(I'm also seeing some uses for some of the bits from the Mortis Engine in DE conversions as well, but that is for another thread)

I made this one from a Chaos Spawn which is about the same size:



I am thinking about getting the Crypt Horrors and making a few more so there is some differences in them. Buy yourself a Talos Pain Engine and you will have plenty of bitz to convert the crypt horrors.

Exactly my thought with the crypt horrors, plenty of spare masks and bits in a talos/chronos box, just don't have the money to get it started yet :s

Yeah, that looks cool. I was thinking of mixing in spawn bits as well, so that is nice to see.

If I had to do it all over again, I would buy a box of crypt ghouls, chaos spawn, take left over talos bits and mix them all up. I am already thinking about cutting the heads off of my grotsques and using the extra talos heads as well.

What do you all think? Talos heads or Warriors of Chaos heads?
