I just found a box of lizardmen warriors that I have laying around, and was thinking using them as kroot for my tau army would be a fun conversion. My question is, would it be better to convert them into holding Kroot rifles, find a custom gun, or would any kind of sci-fi weapon work. I was thinking either half leftover kroot rifles, half ork guns, and using some plasticard to ,make shoulder pads and some kind of plated armor. good idea, or more trouble than its worth?

I got the idea because I don't like the way kroot look, but would want a lizardman army if I played fantasy. I haven't done any real conversion work, so i'm trying to learn by doing.

Here's my first attempt. I like the gun and shoulderpads I picked (Ork shoota, one ork pad one Lizardman one) but I feel like it needs more in the way of clothes or armor. Any thoughts?

i'm trying to find a tutorial on making some kind of chest piece, like fire warriors have. I'm giving each of them FW antenna though.

here are a couple with some techy bits added on. Now they can communicate Also, like the slugga a lot better, especially after adding on the FW pouch as a power cell. probably gonna paint it up to look like a plasma pack

Is it wrong of me to bump this up? I finally found the time to paint these guys up, As well as making a few more using Tau Carbines- now lizardmen!
