Just wanted to share some pictures of my 8th company. So far the army is about 70% done. I just finished the two characters for it so I'll upload those first.

First the Captain

Librarian on bike. Bonus points to whomever can identify what the librarian is reading. I don't like the look of one random model with different color armor in an army, except for chaplains because black armor always looks good, so I painted his robe blue instead.

He is reading the big red book lol

Sorry, but you must drill the bolter holes :/

Other than that, they look great, the yellow is great, and the details are ace

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...

Agreed. Drill the Bolter holes. Everyone knows they'll fire better then.

As a side note with the book, lose the ropes and chains holding onto nothing or give it a backboard or something as it detracts from a rather good piece.

I would like to point out that reading a book while operating a vehicle is an extremely unsafe act.

What is next? A chaplain texting while riding a bike?

Is he reading the codex? That's definitely a different scheme for a Librarian, not sure if I like it or not. Possibly paint a piece of armor blue to tie him in better rather than some dude wearing fashionable robes?

Tabletop quality Orks for Sale. Plenty of converted vehicles. Moving and don't want. PM for details.
GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Yes. Judging by your forum name I think we played one another yesterday.

Everytime I try to drill the bolter holes it turns out terribly. Usually I destroy the front end of the boltguns and it looks much worse IMO than if I hadn't even tried.

I was debating doing that. Probably a good call. The ropes don't really add anything.

That is the plan for my chaplain if I ever model one.

He is reading the codex. Librarian entry to be specific.

I tried to tie it in at least with the shoulder trim on the libby. Looks out of place to you though?

I knew it hahaha. You didn't play me but we were at the realm on Monday. And we were talking about how your librarian was disinterested in the battle he busts out his book and starts reading.

To drill bolter holes i use a 1mm drill. Use a pin or somethi like that to fix the point where the hole go, and them drill using the "guiding point". Need some practice, and a 1mm drill, i destroyed some bolter at the start too... but you get used.

Anything with a hole smaler than 1mm dont get a hole...

Wow, you've had problems drilling the bolters before? Really?

Seriously dude let me see your stuff this weekend, because I can't fathom a drill tearing up plastic, all my stuff cuts through it like butter and leaves a very clean hole.

The trick is to make a score at the center with a hobby knife, just a dent to keep the drill from slipping off the center.

Edit: I've never noticed your barrels weren't drilled until just now. LOL.

Thats right. Your screen name threw me off because there is a guy at the local gw with the same last name.

TBH I never notice if the holes are drilled on guns and I've only have people comment on it in pictures. In my opinion it is something most people don't notice unless the model is blown up massively.

You don't need to lose the ropes on the book, it makes sense to tie the relevant pages up if you'll need it while riding a bike at up to 24" per turn.
