Steadfast Ultramarine Sergeant

Liverpool, England

Now, in C:SM it has options for the Sternguard sergeant, then it says ANY model may replace it's boltgun with a combi weapon, does this include the sergeant? I spent £30.00 on the 2008 web only sergeant, the one with the PF, standing on the broken Aquilla, I spent way over an hour carefully crafting a perfect combi-flamer onto him, and I don't want this to be this to be in vain.

Also, on a side note, under the Sternguard rules it says that special ammo can be used in any bolter, including combi weapons, whilst the separate rules for Hellfire rounds say it can be used only in Boltguns. So do we take the special ammunition rules into account for Hellfire rounds, or are these superseded in the case of Hellfire rounds in their separate entry?

Cheers in advance guys.

I assumed it included the sergeant as he himself is a sternguard. However, if this isn't the case don't feel bad...I did the same thing you did. Also, I've been reading a lot of articles on Sternguards units for tactics and each man taking a combi weapon seems to be a popular choice for Sternguard, but nobody ever mentioned that taking combi weapons would negate their special ammo, and I'm sure that would have popped up in a forum discussing Sternguard set ups. Sorry I can't give you a solid answer. Happy gaming!

Any model is ANY model.

Hellfire rounds are not counted in special ammunition, so you can indeed stick combi meltas on and fire any of the rounds.
