CHAOS CUP TOURNAMENT!

A quarterly event for WFB and 40k

Once thought lost in the dung heap of history, an ancient relic has returned. After years of digging through decrepid landfills, brave dwarf treasure hunters have unearthed the most ancient of trophies: The Chaos Cup!

On April 14th (changed from March 24th), this venerable relic returns, and the quest to control it begins once again! Each season of the year will bring a new contest, and a new chance to win glory for yourself and your store. Spring and Fall will be Warhammer Fantasy Battle. Winter and Summer will see battles using Warhammer 40k.

While the champions of the day will win prizes, the cup will reside in the store that they fought for, and bring glory to that Power of Chaos. When you register, you’ll be asked to say which store you are representing.

GW Echelon Village, NJ Khorne
GW Bear, Delaware Slannesh
GW Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia Nurgle
Showcase Comics, Media, PA. Tzeentch

The first tournament will be Warhammer Fantasy. Army size is 2500 points. All current army books may be used. All models must be totally painted and based. All models must be WYSIWYG. If you have a question about a conversion, talk to your store manager. Obviously, all models should be GW models, or start as GW models, with the same restrictions as Throne of Skulls. Scoring will come from the 3 games played, and a painting score. The paint scoring sheet will be posted ahead of time, and be available at all stores.

While the cup may move around from store to store, the tournament won’t. All 4 seasons will be held at Showcase Comics, due to space reasons.
-The address is Granite Run Mall, 1067 W. Baltimore Pike, Media, PA. 19063.
-The phone number is 610-891-9229. Email is ShowcasePA@aol.com
-TO for the day is Mike Clark, but feel free to address rules questions to your store manager.

And look for lots of events leading up to the seasonal tournament: Painting days, conversion workshops, and warm-up tournaments! Ask your store manager for details.

To reserve your spot, you can pay at Showcase Comics, or by Paypal on the events page at Showcasecomicsandgames.net The only way to reserve a spot is by pre-paying. If there’s room, we’ll take registration the day of the tournament from 9:30am to 10:30am.

Cost will be 15.00 and include lunch

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Is there any comp for this event?

No comp for the event at all. But models must be fully painted, and must be strictly WYSIWYG, and meet the requirements GW has at Throne of Skulls for using only GW models, or models converted from primarily GW parts.

We have also changed the date to April 14th. There was a conflict in scheduling for the 24th. I'm meeting with the managers of the GW stores to finalize rules and such

I like this idea, the north jersey crowd may have to pilfer it, and of course, make it better!
