Hey guys!

Just wanted to post a quick tutorial/speed painting of Night Lords Chaos Space Marine.

My Camera work is a bit bad, but this is my first video painting tutorial so I was just getting used to it as well as my camera stand being shakey. Please let me know how yal think and if you would like/comment/subscribe then I would love you forever

Thanks
Areyoucrazee

Aren't they easier to paint before you glue them together?

to some people yes, but it really depends on your paint style, I like putting them together before I paint because #1: it allows me to see the complete model and judge where the light will hit for highlights and #2 I will most likely play with them before I paint them.

I never paint before assembling :p Also means I can hold the base whilst painting instead of getting my greasy mits all over the model whilst trying to paint things like magnoculars, or human arms, etc. I can't think of anything worse than painting a standard model in parts.

But as Areyoucrazee said, it's personal preference but I don't personally know anyone who paints before assembly as a general rule.

There are exceptions of course, like scount sentinel and valkyrie cockpits which need to be painted, then assembled around them.

I assemble most things before painting but arms and such which come across in front of the body I will pin to assemble separately and then remove it when I come to paint the mini. A bolter for example in 2 hands in front of the chest of a marine would be seriously in the way when it comes to painting. So I take it off and paint the two separately.
