So I've decided to focus only on 3 armies this year: Ogre Kingdoms, Necrons and my Dark Angels. Currently in the process of repainting all of my greenwing dark angels and will need to finish off my Deathwing as well.
With the Ogres I currently have a small collection consisting of a few characters, a stonehorn, thunderblaster and some mournfang. As each are done I'll pop them in their own thread, or just make one Uber thread. Anyway...
The point of this thread is to talk about my necrons. If you google them, 99% of the pics you'll find will see then done in metallics. And baby; that ain't my style. So to try and be a little different, I've done mine in grey.
Here's a few pics of my lord from the annihlation barge kit, ignore the green, I tried something and it didn't work:
The grey is limitied to the main "meaty bits" of the model; where in the lords case its the upper and lower arms, thighs and calf plate. The ribs, head and shoulder pads are where I want it to stand out and have a touch of colour. And as my colour theory isn't great, I don't know what goes well with grey. At the moment I have flat hawk turquois on there and will blend it with whites and rotting flesh. Aiming for something like this:
The lords and the triarch models will be the only ones to look like this; warriors will only have their face in what ever colour I decided upon, and the others head and shoulders. No idea on how the vehicles will go.
So I ask you, does it look ok?
TL; DR
What colours compliment grey?
