Hey all, new to Dakka but not to gaming or forums. Just wanted to put a list I've been toying with out there and see what people think.
so any CC would be fantastic , thanks in advance...

Lord: Slaughtermaster: Lv4. Arabian Carpet. Hellheart.

Hero: Butcher: Lv2. Dispel Scroll. Power Stone.

Core: Gnoblars: 50 Strong. Trapper Upgrade. Musician & Standard Bearer.

Army Total: 1995pts

tis, basic as a list. But i was basing it on the "hit 'em hard, hit 'em fast" principal.
Plus experience at using Gnoblars tells me most of the people I face would rather fight the ogres than the Gnoblars.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Dude. Your list is awesome.
And welcome to Dakka!
I don't have any tactical advice for you, but it is awesome enough for my approvald.
(Though, if I'm gonna say anything, is your Lord solo? Isn't that a bit dangerous? Or... Do you place him with the Gnoblars? That would be awesome. )

Its a fun list for sure, but I can't see it doing anything to a real competitive list.

Core: Gnoblars: 50 Strong. Trapper Upgrade. Musician & Standard Bearer. i don't think these are as good as you think they are. Most fastcav will send them packing. Real cav will charge and then get behind your lines unscathed for a rear charge

Special: Mournfang Cavalry: 2 Strong. Hv Armour. Ironfists. 2 seems too small, and they have way too easy a time getting spooked 44% they panic, 44% they run 44% they don't rally

Rare: Thundertusk
Rare: Thundertusk I've never used these, my experience with other super gigantic monsters makes me leery though

I have a feeling this army is designned to combat a certain type of list that your local club seems to have a lot of. And if it does well against them and you enjoy playing it that keep going! Personally, the way I roll, I can't fight my way out of a paperbag with anything WS 3. WS2 and Str2 would make me that much worse I think.

I'd change the mournfangs from 3x2 to 2x3. 50 gnoblars are going to die quickly and silently. All they need is one flank hit with a ranked unit and they'll fold. I'd like to see something for your butcher and lord to go in, and the carpet is a waste of points imho. But if it's going well for you, great!

Yeah, my basic dwarf list would tear that to pieces, but it's a fun list and has lots of flair! I could see it being an "all or nothing", where it trounces some armies and loses badly against a lot.
