Steadfast Ultramarine Sergeant

So, I'm re-starting my Ultramarines after many a year, nothing is painted and barely any is photographed yet, but I'm planning the army based around the 3rd Company, with help from the Tyrannic War Veterans of the 1st. Hey, the LotD are even going to join in. Barely anything is photographed yet, but to get things started here's my converted Tyrannic War Veteran Sergeant. Armed with a combi-flamer and a powerfist, he's converted from the 2008 web only Veteran sergeant. Comments and as much criticism as you can throw at me are very much appreciated.
Here's the back, the logo isn't as lopsided as it appears, it just goes down a ridge from the fist onto the cabling.
A look at the side, I'm pretty happy with how the combi-flmaer turned out.
I might drill the barrel out a bit further at a later date, I'm not sure yet.
But yeah, there he is so far, all that's left to do now is mould the Tyrannic War Veteran's badge onto his shoulder and he's ready for priming.
EDIT: Fixed it so the pics show, but they now appear the bottom, ahh well, no time to learn computer literacy.
EDIT: Now they're in place again.

I think I've fixed it now, I'm pretty sure they're all showing up at the bottom now. I really should have taken IT in school.

Here's the tactical squad with a few shots of the guys with their pistols out. I wanted a squad that didn't just look like every single other Tactical squad with a ML and MG gun combo, so I decided to go for a few creative poses, one of which being the squad leader for when they get split into combat squads.
But I kept the clichés in there, every squad needs 'Marine resting gun on shoulder whilst reading Auspex.' As you'll notice too, no marine is bare headed in any way, shape or form. I know it's not original, but it boggles the mind as to why you'd take off your super high tech, mostly bullet proof helmet in the middle of a battlefield.
Barrels still need drilling out, and I'm making a few finishing touches onto the LotD then they'll be posted either later tonight or most probably tomorrow. Just need to wait for the Tyrannic War Veterans to arrive in the post so I can make a few casts of their cool badge for the sergeant so he fits in a tad better, then it's spray painting time.
So sorry for the sea of grey that you're experiencing here, but I prefer to undercoat my models en masse, it's just a habit of mine, then the painting shall begin.

The Legion of the Damned are ready now. I decided to see if I still have what it takes with the old green stuff to do some cool looking conversions. Turns out I don't. They're not the worst I've ever seen or done, but they look okay I guess.
The squad as a whole, yes the pictures are taken in the bathroom, but hey, my girlfriend's flat has awful light in every other room.
The Sergeant, I didn't trust myself to drill out the barrels in a Storm Bolter, so I stuck some green stuff at the end and poked it with some tweezers.
Here's the back view, I'm pretty happy with how the scrolls streaming behind him turned out.
The grenade marine, the fire doesn't look great, but I'm very happy with how the strap holding his combat blade in place turned out.
Bolter marine, the fire I moulded here doesn't look too bad, so I think anyway. Opinions?
I love the pose of the knifey marine, so I left him mostly untouched, I just added a banner top and tried my hand at a purity seal.
And finally, the flamer marine, Again, I decided he needed more fire, so that's what he got.
Any comments or criticism out there guys? At all? I know nothing's painted yet, but the undercoating has begun and all that awaits now is the Tyrannic War Veterans (still). Once they're here, their sergeant with the powerfist can get his squad badge moulded and they can have their bolters made better for 'Nid hunting, i.e get the same chop job that their Sergeant's gun got.

Good looking conversions / mods so far. I really like flamer guy in the Legion group!
Excellent combi-flamer on the Vet Sarge. Mine usually have some rough seams, so bravo on the nice flat edging between flamer/bolter. The barrel on the flamer looks a little rough but I'm thinking that is drill fuzz.
Can't wait to see them painted!

Thanks alot, it's nice to get some positive feedback, gives me confidence to push my limits a bit further. And yeah the fuzz is just drill fuzz, I've filed it down since taking the pictures though.
A quick update on the 'Nid Hunters, giving your girlfriend with no knowledge of Wargaming the instructions "Can you log onto my GW and order me the two Tyrannic War Veterans please? Make sure you don't get the same ones twice." Be specific that you mean two blisters, not two models It's lighter on the wallet, but you end up two models short of the minimum squad size. The combi flamers on the two guys have are looking clean enough though, but the conversion to try and helmet to helmet-less model has gone awry to put it nicely. The only work around I've found is to give him a mkVIII collar and try to keep it as clean as possible. So far, not much joy, but I'll work through the night, and up until it's time to leave for work if I need to.
Other than that, the moulds for the 'Nid hunter logo to slap on the Sarge' are looking pretty good.
More pics up tomorrow, well, later on today.

Might just be me but I have to look at models like Marneus Calgar when I reference the U on power fists and I think you conversion in the first post is upside down (though holding it up looks right, if he was to lower his arm it would be wrong). Otherwise they look great.
