I am posting this to help out the guys who are organizing the event. I have been to a few events out in Harrisburg and they always aim to please! Our club will be providing the MechaniCon tables and scenery for the Mini GT.

Cabin Fever was started over 10 years ago and continues to bring a welcome break from the winter blues!

There are many hotels nearby to choose from as well as a bunch of restaurant options. The event is run by the folks at the Adventurer's Guild and friends. The store is close by and planning a visit is a must!

How many games is the 40k GT? And what's the schedule like? It looks like a fun tournament.

Can you post the schedule of the 40k GT? Also, do you have an idea on prize support and round lengths? Might be interested, though it's a bit of a drive.

I think Tony was just posting the info on the event, as a favor to the guys running it. He isn't involved with rules or anything, just hauling up a bunch of tables and scenery for them to use. You probably want to contact the organizers directly to get questions answered.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Sorry, didn't check this since I posted it.

Contact the organizers through their website with any questions you may have. I am not involved with running any of the events so the only information I can offer is that the tables/sideboards/terrain are the same as the MechaniCon GT.

I sent an email and still haven't heard anything back...the event is still on, correct? Does anyone know how many slots are left?

Last that I read on their Facebook posts, there are not many registered. As far as I know they are still moving forward with the event. Hopefully we will know more soon.

There is no information on the Guild website (I'm the webmaster), as we are still building the new site and it appears that Cabin Fever was only arranged three days ago. Jason is providing some prize support for the tourney, but he is otherwise not involved.

Todd Roy looks to be the driving force for this tourney.

If you go to www.marauder-industries.com, there is information for the tournament. There is a Facebook page for the event: http://www.facebook.com/events/314576588577947/

They are asking for 7 copies of the rules. From that, I am guessing 5 (maybe 6) rounds. My memory is a little fuzzy, but there is typically 2 to 2.5 hours per round. I think for the Ard Boyz we had 2 hours.

I will get some more information. As much as I would love to play, I'm not sure I can go both days.

I can tell you that the Masonic Hall has a lot of room. We have the Four Diamonds Cup Blood Bowl tourney there every year. It's a good time.

For all of those here, my name is Todd, and I am the above mentioned "driving force". There seems to have been a bit of miscommunication and confusion about this event, I apologize to any that didnot recieve a reply from myself or Rich (the other TO).

Cabin Fever has been an ongoing tournament for many years that I am particulary fond of. I am a loyal and devout believer in supporting your local game store and doing everything possible to promote the hobby that I love so much. So when the Adventure's Guild changed hands recently and the new owner didn't feel he had the time to put together Cabin Fever, I offer to do so. I did not want to see my favorite late winter event die.

To be fair, there has been some confusion about the details and organization of the event. I will asume all resposibility for that confusion. At this writting I am expecting about 15-20 people total for both events. If that number does not increase very soon, the nature of the event will need to change. This is in respect to the OP who is planning on providing table toppers and terrain, and to reduce the out of pocket expence to myself and the other TO.
Anyone with questions, concerns or is interested in attending should contact me directly at hamish312000@yahoo.com or call my cell phone, 717-715-2710.
Thanks all for reading.

I'll be attending the 40k mini-GT, so you can add 1 to your list. I'll likely purchase my ticket tomorrow or the day of the event (I don't like going through the online transaction process). I'm looking forward to the event! What time should we show up Saturday?

@choruslucia- that is awesome! I love the tournament environment. Seeing the creativity of what some do with there armies, meeting new people who share this awesome hobby. My game got so much better after my first GT. I actually did pretty good too, a last minute army list with very little time to plan a real strategy and I came in dead in the middle of scoring. 53rd of 106 players. We don't expect that many, lol, but I'm sure that you will have a great time.

@hungrytaz- thanks for covering the info you posted. Glad your doing the new guild site for Jason. Been awhile since I've seen ya, any chance you might make it? What are you running these days?
