I've been working on my Evil Sunz force lately, as a few images in the showcase and gallery can testify to (wont post em here, thought I'd just self promote a little there). Part of my force is a squad of 5 Deffkoptas I've managed to pick up off of ebay for just under £15. These will be the first actual speedy unit in my evil sunz force and one of the first ork vehicles I've ever commited to actually paint. I chose to paint him in the two halves of the key kopta chassis, and combined the two when I was finally happy with the paint job. This has however left me with an ugly seam down the middle of the vehicle that I am going to have to greenstuff over.

Comments on the paint job would be nice.

Also ideas on how to mask that ugly seam would be awesome.

I like the paintjob quite a bit. I think the best thing to fix that gap would be liquid green stuff I have used it on a similar situation and it worked like a charm.

Cool, hadnt actually considered that, I'd read somewhere (vague I know) that if the seam is too hollow liquid greenstuff can end up just seeping through and pooling into the model. Any weight to that rumour or just net gossip?

hmmm I haven't heard that myself. All I know is that hasn't happened to me and I doubt it would do that unless it for some reason was really runny which LGS is not at least in my case. You could always file it down which would be best and then use liquid green stuff but either way I think it would help.

It is a really nice model. Just paint the face the way you paint Ork skins.

I'd 'orkify' the seam. Stick some metal or wooden 'planks' across it at various angles to look like the Deffkopta is being held together purely through brutish stubborness to fight.

Cheers for the helpful comments guys, tried my hand at a little liquid GS over the crack on the front of the Kopta, I've also used the suggestion or orkifying it on my second WIP kopta.

The first one is nearly complete now:
