Hi all
My first topic! Yeah!
Ok back to seriousness!
I really need help with my B.A army list, I’m going to participate on a national tournament (1750pts armies) on March, i will face mostly space marines and space marines chapters (lots of S.W and B.T, and some B.A also). I don’t know if my army list would do well against them, because the players who i normally face use the most diverse armies. So here´s the problem...i can´t seem to win against Daemons and D.A Deathwing...today made two games against the some guy with D.A Deathwing and basically i was bulldozed...really humiliating...lol. So i can´t figure it out if my army list would do well in a environment full of S.M and theirs chapter brothers...
I have around 5000pts of B.A so i can do a lot of changes...but i haven´t got a Stormraven, and i don´t know if i should...
So here is my army list
H.Q
Librarian - JP + Bolt pistol ( Blood Lance + Unleashed Rage)
Honour Guard ( 5) - 4 Plasmaguns + Bolt Pistol

S.M and chapters players , what I’ve seen, usually use land raiders (crusaders or redeemers), sometimes more than 1, loaded with CC terminators...and some long range shooting like speeders with typhoons, predators...the usual. How do you guys think my army list would come out in this mechanized environment?
I’m feeling tempted to try to fit a CC terminator squad with terminator prist and a librarian...all riding a Stormraven...but the point cost is massive...but on the other hand, they will smash anything that comes in their way...because the looses im having against Daemons and Deathwing are really annoying, can´t seem to do anything to defeat them...
Really need some help here guys.

If you're worried about Deathwing and Daemons, and expect to mainly face MEQ, I think a mechanized list with Furioso support could work really well.
Here's my 1750 list:
HQ: Librarian 100
EL: Furioso with Blood Talons 125
EL: Furioso with Blood Talons 125
TR: 5 Assault Marines, Meltagun, Las/Plas Razorback 165
TR: 5 Assault Marines, Meltagun, Las/Plas Razorback 165
TR: 5 Assault Marines, Flamer, Las/Plas Razorback 160
TR: 5 Assault Marines, Flamer, Las/Plas Razorback 160
FA: Baal Predator 115
FA: Baal Predator 115

HS: Auto/Las Predator 135

Total: 1750
Obviously, this assumes you have the necessary vehicles, and don't hate mech lists. This list should handle Deathwing pretty well, due to all the Las and Plas combined with mobility and the fact that the only resilient shooting Deathwing has is S8, which doesn't do well against AV13.
Daemons, on the other hand, should have a terrible time with the Furiosos and of course the mobility. I've never played against them, though.
Come to think of it, giving the Baals Flamestorm turrets might do well if you tend to face foot lists. It would also do really well against Necron Scarabs. One shot can easily kill 10, since each wound IDs two bases due to S6 and Swarms.

Your list is all over the place. Against deathwing you should try to out number him and get the assault, which is hard with some tanks, jump packs and some foot slogging.
The most competitive builds are all mech(please no rhinos) or all infantry.
What other models do you own?
You might have a good infantry based list with a few extra models. Do you own a priest on a bike, honour guard with jump packs, some more assault marines with jump packs and some more ML?

I was aiming for a diferent list because every one (like 90%) will show up with mechanized list...so i really wanted to try something diferent...but i´m starting to think that it will not be eficient...
I have 2 terminator squads, one for CC the other shooting, a bunch load os tactical marines (around 40) with diferrent heavy weapons and special weapons...have 2 Razorbacks ( turrets magnetized with twin las or twin H.B), 4 land speeders (2 typhoons with both options, and 2 normal land speeders with MM), sanguinary guard (1banner and 1 P.F), 2 Baal Predators, 2 Predator "annihilators" , 1 whirlwind, 2 furiosos dreadnoughts, 2 dreadnoughts with all H.W excepct H.B and MM...all special chars since their release, around 30 assault marines (P.F and Meltaguns), 1Land raider , 1 Chaplain, 1Librarian, 2 Sanguinary Priests with P.W and Combimelta, 5 Honour Guard with 4 plasmaguns, 2 rhinos, 6 Death Company with JP and 1 PF and i think its near all...oh and some scouts, dont actually know the number but i think around 10...

OK, the issue with your collection is that you have a little bit of everything, which makes it tough to field a focused list. You do have enough to field a mech list if you can get what you need to upgrade your Rhinos to Razorbacks.
Otherwise, sticking with what you have, maybe something like this could be decent:
HQ: Librarian with JP 125
HQ: Dante 225
HQ: Honor Guard with JPs and 4 Plasmaguns 225
EL: 1 Sanguinary Priest with JP and Combi-Melta 85
TR: Sanguinary Guard 200
TR: 10 Assault Marines, 2 Meltaguns, Power Fist 235
TR: 10 Assault Marines, 2 Meltaguns, Power Fist 235
TR: 10 Assault Marines, 2 Meltaguns, Power Fist 235
TR: 5 Scouts with Missile Launcher and Camo Cloaks 100
You have 85 points left to throw wargear around between the Honor Guard and the Sanguinary Guard.
Now, it would be a lot better if you could take the HG with Meltas, since you expect to face mechanized lists, but I'm trying to stick with what you have. I don't love the SG+Dante combination, but I'm trying to keep vehicles out of the list entirely.

You always have to agree with Mr E, just to add: try inferno pistols on the sang. guard so they land and melt with dante. Also a powerfist as if they get charged by a dread they auto die. Otherwise add another priest?
If you could form two dev. squads with tons of MLs or long range antitank then this would be a reasonable addition to the infantry list, also your bikes could work in the list.
Mixing mech and jump packs is tricky but can work.
Take your preds and Baals as covering fire as your jump packs hug cover towards the enemy.

Well....I like this list, few things though....
1: You didn't specify the powers of the Libby .
2: This list could be slightly improved. Personally, I find flamers ridiculous. They cause minimal damage. Here is how I would do the list ( I'm not trying to bash or be mean or anything, just saying....)

This leaves you 50 more points, and 2 deadly units ( I had 1 take down 20 grey hunters, with mark of wolfen, and a power fist. ( 2 squads of 10 with the mark, and power fists....within two turns) ... Also, yes, removing the las plas razorbacks will lesson anti tank, but the dreads got a MM so shouldn't be a problem.
With these 50 points you can ( I suggest):
- Upgrade to epistolary and rain hell with your librarian
- Put a power fist in each assult squad
- Jump pack on Libby

For powers, I like Shield and Fear. Blood Lance and Unleash Rage are good choices too.
As for the suggested list, it's illegal. You need 5 DC Marines per DC Dread. Even if it were legal, I'm not sure that having uncontrollable Dreads fits the rest of the list. As for the Flamers, they amount to 10 points. I like having a few, as they are good solutions for things the list can't otherwise kill easily, like Wyches with Haywire Grenades and Orks in general.

Flamers are excellent for softening up units before assault, and that's what Assault Marines do, assault! If you fire that flamer at a full strength Tactical Squad you may cover 7, you will wound about 4 and you will kill a single Marine. Add your bolt pistols into that as well. Against hordes or less troops i.e Guardsmen you will kill a lot lot more.
The list which Mr.Econmics isn't so bad, though it would still with tweaks. The Honour Guard really could do with assaulting after seems they have feel no pain, they have a decent amount of attacks so they can hold up units in combat with fnp until Assault Marines arrive. Add meltas to these instead of flamers. I do not see the point in the missile launcher on the Scouts, the camo cloaks are handy for making the Scouts survive, go to ground for 2+ cover. If you don't do that then you're paying 10 points for a missile launcher which will hit half the time. I would invest more points into the Sanguinary Guard, such as a chapter banner.
