Hey hey

This is my first fully model for quite some time, after having this model for absolutely ages thought it would probably worth painting, especially since the avatars of war slayers are out and this would make an ace filler (i figured anyway)

anywho some pics lights not amazing but hopefully you can see details etc

Feedback, advice, praise etc is more than welcome, might change the blood at some point as i think there is not enough definition between head and blood but we'll see

First of all I think you have painted this very well, I have this model and always thought it strange that the daemon's head sits upright. Why would it do that?

Anyway, you commented that you are not fully content with the pool of blood under the daemon head. I actually think you did a good job there, however the untrammeled grass around it may be what is affecting the scene for you. I think if you made some scuffs in the grass or added another, smaller pool of blood, it would enhance the story you are telling with the model.

Anyway, looks great

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

Get some gloss varnish on that blood, help make it look wet. Also maybe make it a tad darker towards where the blood is coming from (the head) and lighter towards the edges? Other than that, I think it's a fantastic piece, and even a tad chuckle worthy.

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.
