Subject: Multiple Unit Choices and Dedicated Transports

I am looking for some rules/rulings/FAQs/ GW Battle reps, etc on the following topics. Please cite your source.
1) Is a Dedicated Transport ever equated to / referred to as a unit upgrade?
2) Can anyone think of a Multiple Unit Choice (p92 BRB) other than an IG Infantry Platoon that is not only a single for the force organisation slot, but also for deployemnt?
What do you think about DA Ravenwing Attack Squads? What about Infiltrating SM Scout squads that have combat squaded? (Check the new language in the FAQ)
3) Any Apocalypse experts out there know of a rule showing that DTs are part of the same formation as their purchased-for units?
Thanks all

If you look at the example 'Battle Company' in Apocalypse, most of the units have a Transport.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

2) the language in the new FAQ does NOT state that a combat squad is a single unit for deployment, just it is a single deployment action, like when alternating infiltrators.

Per Multiple Unit Choices, the unit and their transport are always separate units.
There are a few limited circumstances under which multiple units deploy at once, in place of a single unit.
Example 1: A Ravenwing attack squadron
Example 2: A pair of infiltrating halves of a Combat Squad, per the new SM FAQ, when alternating deployment of Infiltrators.
Example 2: An IG Platoon, in any circumstance when they would normally be limited to deploying a single unit. The way the Platoon codex entry is described, there are multiple different units within that entry; including a command section, multiple infantry squads, and potentially some transports as well.

Its not current, but in the last Nid dex, you could take 1-3 Zoanthropes as a single FoC selection, they deployed together, but were each a separate unit.
