I've been swinging by DakkaDakka for quite some time now whenever I need a little bit of inspiration or some information. I've spent most of my online time browsing around and participating over at the Miniwargaming site. I figured it's about time I throw something up here to get some feedback and some more tips and critiques. Take a look and let me know. I've got a few different things going on and need some ideas to get some of them started and to finish some of the others up.




First up, my first go at Imperial Guard.







Next, I've got some Space Wolves with some Chaos bits tossed in.





Also on the painting block, Lufgt Huron of the Astral Claws





Also, for the Imperial Fists army I'm building I've got a Rhino and two Preds in the works and I'm planning on painting up the Citadel Finecast Sternguard Vets as well as converting a couple of my own.







And just for reference, some Assault Marines. I'm plannin on a whole army of these fellas.






Let me know what you think, what I can improve on, and any ideas I can run with for my unpainted guys.

Rhino... AWESOME. The fist graphic effect on top is placed in a way that is different and very cool!

That battle damage is very well done. I'm wondering if a little bit brighter on inside edge of the hot burn hole would make it look hotter? It seems like it needs just a little more brightening.

A quick update. I've been working on some Imperial Fist Sterguard Vets. The guy with the halberd and combat shield is going to be a company champion for my command squad. One of the Sternguards had a ridiculous amount of bubbles so I decided to experiment and paint him up as a Novamarine.

Thanks man. I still haven't gotten around to painting that Pred. lol. The Marine paying respects was from a Mini of the Month competition on another site from last July. That was to be an objective marker for my Revilers army.

This was my entry in the DakkaDakka painting challenge. Public voting placed it in 4th.

This was my vote. It feels very atmospheric and foreboding. Lovin it.

Thanks man. I ended up coming in 4th with the public voting. This was a trial run for me. This was my first attempt at painting an Imperial Guardsman and my first try at a Tyranid. I'm planning on making a semi large diorama in the next few months using IG and Nids. They were fun to paint, but I'm going to keep experimenting until I get a color scheme that I like.
