Subject: Tachyon Arrow? Good in situations Y/N

Numberless Necron Warrior
|
I play necrons and have thought about taking the arrow but the one shot hit or miss has always lead me to think it was not worth the points to put the upgrade on my overlord.
This could however be useful against low toughness units with a lot of wounds or a low armor save?
Thoughts anyone?

I think it's rather overcosted for a 1 off weapon, the only time it could be useful is against some very hard MCs or as a tank buster. either way though, necrons have better weapons for the tasks so it's really quite unneeded.

It's too expensive for what it does. The 30 points can be spent much better elsewhere.

Well, you could use it, but as its a one off weapon you should target hi priority tanks or T5 MCs.
Also, take a chrono. You will need it to increase your chances.

Having seen it in use on the tabletop, the only way I'd consider taking it is if the rules changed such that it was an instant hit/wound.
That's way too many points to tie up in a single shot weapon with a good probability of doing absolutely nothing.
