What do you make of the FiB mega deals? It's seems on the face of it pretty good, 3 fully Platoons, 1 x Mortar and a HMG Platoon. A pretty solid core of an Infantry Army for £37.50. I Think Russian players would benefit most from buying 2 of these boxed sets and they would have almost a Battalion.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

They would be a good starter set, moreso than a box of PSC grenadiers if you actually want a workable force to begin with. Personally I already own 2 HMG platoons and some mortars so for me this wouldn't be worth it. 15mil Command Decision are another good way to beef up Soviet lists from what I can tell; you get about 50 machine gunners for a tenner, that kind of thing.

I like their vehicle platoon packs. I have their Marder IIIMs and some of their Kubelwagens. I plan to buy their Kfz 10/4s and Hetzers.

I like the vehicles too, but I wish they didn't come on the solid bases. But I was looking at the Marder III and you get 4 for a decent price. The quality is nice, and armoured Platoons are about £15 - £19. The Tiger Tanks are nice and cheap, the HETZER's are my favourite but I cannot run them in my lists at the moment. Need the Grey Wolf book I think!

I mount my FiB vehicles on thin plastic-card (0.5mm) the size of a Flames of War base. Then I build up the sides of the base with sand or filler. Since I base all my vehicles they fit in with my Battlefront ones then.

Their Kubelwagens are slightly narrower than Battlefront ones but otherwise the same.

@ mwnciboo: Yes they're in Grey Wolf. Or you could just proxy them as StuGIIIGs
