I'm just getting started with DE, and only got my first battleforce yesterday. I'm not trying to max points on this thing to play immediately or anything, but I am trying to figure out wargear for wysiwyg purposes.
I was wanting to know if
a) Can you run a succubus with an agonizer and an electrocorrosive whip?
b) If so, should you? and
c) If not, what should I use?
As a heads up I regularly play against Chaos Daemons and Space Wolves. This chick would almost exclusively be a Daemon HQ hunter.

What does the codex say for Succubus options?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Yes, you can replace both (the or / and lets you swap both CCW and Pistol, if you wish)

Whether it is a good idea or not - remember you only get one weapons abiltiies or the other, not both at the same time, and you forfeit an additional attack from 2CCW as 2 different specials never gain the bonus

To quote:
Replace close combat weapon and/or splinter pistol with:
*Venom Blade
*Power Weapon
*Agoniser
*Electrocorrosive Whip

So, I'd say yes: Replace close combat weapon with Agoniser, and you still have the pistol which can be replaced with the Whip, or the other way around.

It's the same way I give my Archon an Agoniser, but keep the normal CCW to get an attack bonus for two CCW, giving him a base attack of 5.

I should have posed my question better. Yes I can take both. My question is how do I delegate the attacks? It will only be the base four attacks because they aren't paired weapons. Would I be able to say do two attacks with one and two with the other, or will all four attacks wound on a 4+ and lower strength by half?

You can only apply the special rules of one of your two weapons, and those rules will be applied to all the attacks. You cannot use one set of rules for some attacks and the other for the remainder, and you cannot apply both sets of rules to all attacks, either; you have to pick one or the other every round, and then use it alone for that round.

All 4 attacks will either wound on a 4+ OR lower the strength by half. As they are two special weapons, you only get the benefit from one or the other at a time, not both. All of your attacks have to go off of one or the other, however, you can lower the strength one assault phase, and then the next assault phase you can decide to use the Agoniser instead and wound on a 4+.

I personally would suggest the agoniser - S3 hurts the whip alot - plus i would rather the bad guy dead then attacking me at half S...
