She likes having " a lot of little guys with the armor (marines)" so I was thinking that this would be a reasonably competitive list and easy to play (Basic idea is horde FNP marines). Will this list work? How can it be better? I really want it to work because I can't waste this opportunity to lure in my girlfriend

well, it could. You aren't playing to the strengths of the BA though. If she is just going to play you then throw the game and make it work. If she is going to play other people then realize that one vindicator is going to have a field day at 750 points. The stupid bloke who brings a LR to the party is going to make the game not very fun. Horde marines only kinda sorta works. There are much better armies out there that do horde better (SoB, Orks, Nids for example). Good luck though.

geesh, I did think of the landraider, but that vindicator is a very big draw back.... How is there a decent footish marine list from another army maybe? This is going to be played competitively.... so maybe back to the drawing board....

If you want to try a footish force go with assault marines with jump packs. Take the melta guns and give the priest and Lib a jump pack. I would drop the the shield power, take something more along the line of Sword and the names not coming to me at the moment but it give you prefered enemy. This way you can stay foot based and still take care of the heavier armor. Good Luck!

Ran that idea by her, and shes no so into the jumppacks and assaulting (esthetics?). May i can talk her into a couple of drop pods or vehicles

Drop pods are a good idea. Also you might want to look at the points with the assault marines because they do give you a discount on vehicles when they dont take JP. You dont always have to assault but they are really good at it when you are taking priest. honestly it'll be hard to stay very competitive when you put restrictions on what you will and won't take, but i understand.

The problem with avoiding assault is that BA is THE assault marine army.

The other option is MSU with razorbacks, but that contradicts your idea of lots of models... Maybe getting her to switch to codex: space marines and then go with your original tac squad spam (nothing stopping you from painting them like blood angels, just suggesting the base sm codex).

Im showing my ignorance here, but what does the tac squad gain from going with the vanilla codex?

I would add cheap rhinos and units that complement them.

To make your list work probably go with sniper scouts and dev. squads and priests. This is relatively great firepower and has FNP.
Depends on scenery. It seems the norm to crowd the table at low costs as people, like here, do not bring mech and so need cover.
