I think we can safely say now that the point has been made with regards to posting style and move on.

If we could also make a bit of an effort when dealing with other posters to be constructive and polite when offering criticism t'would be gratefully received by the MOd team, poor burnt out wrecks of "men" that they are.

Thanks.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

No offence, but I would improve my skills before offering comissions on that level.

Don't be disheartened, but take it more as a reason to strive for improvement. Commission work could help out here and there for bills and such, but it's likely near gold daemon level that'll actually be making a noticeable contribution. Sort of like a resume the more contests you win the more likely people will be to hire you, the pictures to back them up of course.

I'd say take it slow, ask your friends and do it for them for now.

Not bad overall on the painting, but I think Valk has a point, even with a discount I think a bit more precision and technique would go a long way. For example...

I see some red bleeding over from the gems on the Sanguinary guards and it would be great if you painted them as actual gems rather than flat red.

Even some highlights on the gold around the edges, maybe some mithril silver lightly drybrushed would give it a bit more depth.

I like the DC overall, but his face needs a highlight to bring up the color and black hair on a model that is totally black makes it blend in a lot. If you look at black hair, you often see some hues of blue and light reflecting from it tends to look gray so you can add some more depth that way.

I do like how you do your Ork skin tones, although I might take it down a notch with a Thrakka green wash and try to highlight the veins to be more blue.

You need to improve your skills significantly before you can expect anyone to pay you to paint their models for them. I see a LOT of painting errors in those shots which tells me that you don't really care about your work and that makes me disinterested immediately.

I feel like we are the storm cloud in someone else's parade. On the bright side, there are a ton of skilled painters here (myself not included) who can provide really great critiques, tips and techniques to help people improve their skills.

I would warn against using drybrushing for commissions. It's a very lackluster technique, especially on something so dynamic as orc skin. There is so much room for proper highlighting on such stark muscles. I'm not saying you have to spend 8 layers to get skin down, but a simple 3 stage job will look worlds better than drybrushed.

You do not have the skills required to do commissions. You would have to charge so little that it would not be worth your time. Like everyone here says, you need lots of practice before you can do commissions. Get some good hours of painting in, try not to drybrush and thin your paints. Start just like canvas painters do, look at other peoples work and replicate, then you experiment, find your style and then you can start doing commissions. I'm not trying to be harsh, it just sounds like you're chasing a white whale...

Painting takes a long time to get good at and a life time to master. Continue to improve your skills and build up your repertoire of techniques and experience. Paint a litle bit of everything.

Your post here (and your 'blog') only show three images (which show room for improvement with your photography skills) that are a small fraction of the myriad range of models you're offering to paint, and they show very poor attention to detail, not to mention that your posts themselves suffer from horrible grammar, punctuation, and a broken capslock key....

Hey wait a tick...

I've just been trolled haven't I? This has got to be a troll...
