Subject: Using Multiple Saves across Multiple Wounds on One Model

An example, from a game with my friends:
My Emperor's Champion is assaulting a Space Marine squad. In one turn, he recieved 2 normal wounds and 1 power weapon wound.
The EC has 2+ armour, and 4+ invulnerable in CC. At the time, unsure of the rules, I picked the 4+ save for ALL WOUNDS.
(All of which he passed and continued on, and sent the remaining Veteran packing )
But, was I allowed to take 4+ for the power weapon, and 2+ for the normal hits?
The Rulebook does say "THE MODEL ONLY EVER GETS TO TAKE ONE SAVING THROW," but doesn't state anything specific about it. I just want to be clear.

You take your best saving throw, but you only get to make one save per wound, so you would use the 4+ Invuln for power weapon attack and 2+ for the normal hits.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Remember the context of that statement, which is dealing with a singular wound. Yiu take you best save, singular, against eah wound, singular

Yeah, I guess it is kind of obvious.
Still, as long as it doesn't say it specifically, I'm going to get confused. I'm bad at reading context.

Just as, I feel, an important aside. Feel no pain is an exception to the one save per wound rule (as you must fail your saving throw first which is different then a feel no pain throw)
Sorry, just felt it needed to be said for nooby sake

Except FNP is not a saving throw.

Yes. What the above all said is correct.
Generally, when playing and different saves come in (whether it be power weapons vs. normal attacks in cc, or AP 1/2 shots vs AP 3+), I set aside dice for each wound. For normal saves I use one color and for invul saves I use another. Once all of the wounds have been issued, you can then use the different color dice to assign wounds throughout the squad.
