    Subject: Need help with a 1k Tyranid list

First let me say this is not meant to be competitive. My son is 5 and loves the Alien movies so has taken a liking to tyranids. I am mostly a fantasy player but do have a 2500 pt kan wall or so. I'm not too familiar with tyranids but I am hoping someone can help me to design a 1k list for him, I will mostly be running a green tide against him so I am hoping for big blast templates and the like so he'll have a good time. Currently he has a Trygon, zoanthrope which could be used as a DOM and I got a steal on craigslist for 48 terms, 48 horms and 12 stealers with some biomorph upgrade kits. He does like the idea of a Tervigon pooping out terms. He does prefer the big monsters so I am thinking a Tyrant over a Prime. Like I said I'll just be fielding green tide so no need for hive guard I believe.

Edit: I am actually thinking of dumping the Tyrant and just running the Tervigon as an HQ choice for him. Would a Biovore be good for him? And if so is just the kit with the 3 mines good enough or should I buy more mines and/or a 2nd biovore?

What about for troop choices? Devilgaunts? Regular Terms? Horms? I think Genestealers would be good with a brood lord.

For my 1k I will leave the kans and kff at home and just let him do genocide on the orks running large boyz squads led by a warboss or a wierdboy to make it fun.

Tervigon - CS, AG, TS, Cat = 195 pts
Doom of Malan'Tai = 90 pts
Genestealer 10 - Broodlord, TS = 216 pts
Devilgaunts 20 = 200 pts
Trygon Prime 1 - AG, = 250 pts
Biovore = 45 pts
