Well, they're not beautiful, but they're mine:

Against my better judgment, some close-ups...

Standard Wraith:

Wraith w/ Particle Caster:

Wraith w/ Whip Coils:

I know they're a little rough around the edges, and the paintjobs are bare-minimum, but these are my stand-in Wraiths while we wait for new models. Had extra Lychguard and Warrior bits laying around, so they only cost me a few dollars for the styrene tubing. I can't take credit for the idea (I've previously seen this done with Lychguard bodies, or Warriors with Flayed One arms), but feel free to steal it anyway. New models might be coming out next month of course, but who's that patient...

I like these, they made me smile. Honestly I think I'd rather play with/against these than Raveners or something. If for no other reason than it'd keep my spirits up. Good on you for putting in the effort to make something.

They're not amazing, but I'll give you an A+ for effort. They're identifiable as wraiths, but they look kind of silly. The first one you posted looks like he's genuinely bewildered that he suddenly has giant blades for arms, and is just shrugging like "Eh, it's a living" or something along those lines. They're better than you give yourself credit for, even if their effect is more comic than menacing.

Whip Coils have become known as "noodle arms" amongst the group I play with. It has also been observed that the Wraith third from the right appears to be skiing. I am glad to at least be getting a laugh out of these guys before their inevitable replacement.

HAHA I love them and I love your attitude about them. "Not beautiful, but they're mine". It brings to mind the saying "a humble thing, but thine own".

Well, I think you did a decent job with the tools you have. Good work.

They o really make me smile. Nice little fellows ;-)
One easy thing to get them a little more "serious" would be get their bases a bit more filled. I'ld think
something not so flat'll do good. Just put them on stones or sth.
But - I like noodles!

Nice work. I think get your army table ready first is good. Game with them then you can return to improve later. In the process your skills will just get better and better.

One more thing, they are indeed yours. Very personal, unlike a computer game, these can sit pride of place wherever you like. I still pick up some of my favourite models and just look for pleasure.
