Hey guys. My idea here is MSU style of play with the additional advantage of Wulfrick coming in from wherever with his block of Marauders. Everyone has MoS for panicless awesomeness. I always seem to take so many troops but I like having models on the board, what can I say. Am I losing out on hitting power?

Heroes: up to 347pts
Wulfrick
Lvl 2 Shadow Sorcerer (room for 46pts of items)

Core: 919 pts
2x 15 Marauders (MoS, flails, musicians)
40 Marauders (MoS, Greatwpns, Standrd, Musician) [Wulfrick goes here]
18 Warriors (MoS, Halberds, Standrd, Musician, Banner of rage) [Sorcerer here?]
2x 5 Marauder Horsemen (MoS, spears, musician)
2x 5 hounds

Special:
5 Chaos Knights (musician, Standard, MoS)

A few additional notes: I play a mono-god Slaanesh army and try to make it work. I know that the mark is underwhelming in some cases but it's great fun to paint so I try to make it work. The other stuff I have to work with:
-6 more warriors and the unit overall can be 2xhandWpns or Halberd or halberd/shield (just place whatever models at the front)
-5 more knights in an adentical unit to the one above
-5 more Marauders
-3 Dragon Ogres
-2 Chariots
-Lord on SteedOSlaanesh
-Lord on Dragon
-Another sorcerer
-Spawn
-Chariot can be a Warshrine
-BSB exaulted
-15 Daemonette "Forsaken" (Old-style of course, cyber-punk claw-crabs hardly match the Slaanesh theme)

Thanks for any help!

Im all for themed armies!

Probably combine the 2x15 marauders, 15 wont do anything at all, and 30 as a horde probably the same situation, maybe use them as a steadfast unit 5x6, although with flails and MoS wouldnt really work.

18 warriors is always good! but youve got nothing to handle regenerate with by giving them that banner.

Knights hounds horsemen, all solid choices, although I dont know if 2 units of horsemen is necessary, never used them myself.

The lore of slaanesh looks pretty bad against anything with a high LD/BSB around, ofc its perfect for the theme, but maybe death would be more appropriate and it still kinda fits with slaanesh imo.

No BSB will be painful as well, they are game changing things!

Theres my few thoughts!

My thoughts for 15 Marauders where as more units in the mix with the hounds and Horsemen. They never panic and hit at S5 before evapourating. I was thinking something along the lines of Empire detachments. The third rank may be a bit much for a throw-away unit and they could be too weak to do anything but add bodies.

The horsemen are for vanguarding forward and hopefully between them and Wulfrick's back-attack I can have the entire board mucked up. That's the idea anyhow

w00t for theme! And Slaanesh at that!

Few thoughts from me:
+ Keep MoS on the sorcerer, but be sure to take third eye (aka 'Third Nipple of Slaanesh') or at the very least a spell familiar, to help you get spells that do something. Perhaps even ruby ring as well, for a further cast?
+ Give the 15 flail marauders a shot, I don't think they're a lost cause
+ I'd give your horsemen throwing spears in addition to the spears. Nothing extra to model, but a little something to do with themselves in other phases. Also, light armor is a decent use of points (and again nothing to model).
+ I don't think frenzy banner is good for your warriors. That's your most important hammer (and most expensive unit), and you're surrendering a significant amount of control over what it does in the game. Not talking frenzy charges (which you get no reroll for!), talking mandatory overruns. Would go with +1LD banner and sticking the sorcerer (who would be the general) in with them for LD9 bubble. That or flaming attaks I suppose. (If you want Frenzy there's a slaanesh RiP spell that can give it to them and be taken away, gaining all of the advantages and none of the downsides. Spell familiar would be quite helpful to ensure you get it ...)

Thanks for the reply guys. I totally forgot that the sorcerer would have to be the army general which is a bit of a pain. The Ld9 bubble sounds good. I may do that and switch to lore of death.

Also, does being immune to psychology mean that I can't flee from charges with the Horsemen? If so then they're going to be a bit harder to use as diversions and the like. I might opt to go without.

Remember that the Mark of Slaanesh doesn't make you Immune to Psych. It makes you Immune to Fear, Terror, and Panic. Which is basically all the benefits of ItP without the liability.

Strongly agree with Boss's advice on all four points. I think 15 flail marauders have potential, especially if you get a flank, or get the frenzy spell of on them.
