Okay so I need some advice on painting wood grain.

I do plan to use Scorched brown as a base coat followed with black wash.

But then how to highlight it effectively?

Only have small areas to work from and do have access to pretty much all the citadel paint range. Just could do with a few pointers in the right direction.

Thin streaks in the direction of the grain. Mix vomit brown into the scorched brown, then go up toward bleached bone for edge highlights.
