A quick one regarding this WoC weapon, reading the FAQ it gives me the doubt of how many models can the glaive hit when in CC. The way i've been playing it against ogres is i do say 3 wounds out of the 6 hits on my lord, the ogre fails his saves and loses one model, no model get the S2 T2 debuff. However looking at the FAQ stating to mark any model hit with it i wonder if wounding the unit means 3 ogre models wounded but due to wounding whole models the 2 wounded ogres pass their wounds to the unfortunate now dead ogre leaving the debuff in the 2 ogres.
Again i know this might see as trying to get more out of weapon but i'm just curios, still think the helm of many eyes/rending sword to be a better combo

No, you never wound multiple models in a multiwound unit; think of it as a pool of wounds that will be allocated when you see if you have enough to remove a whole model.

Yeah, thats what i though, that means that the said unit of ogres will never have more than one model with S2T2, just got confused due to the FAQ stating to mark which MODELS were affected.

Cant you split your attacks up with things in btb? Or is that only against champs/characters

You may split your attacks up against valid target groups, which may include "rank and file unit", "champion", "character A", etc.
If you had a model that bordered two different rank and file units, say on the corners, it could decide which unit it was attacking, even though neither target is a character or a champion. Splitting up attacks onto two different multi-wound Ogres in the same unit, both rank-and-file, is illegal because they're identical components of the same unit and are not characters or champs.

The problem here is that is the whole ogre unit putrefied or is only a portion? Let's think of the following:
WoC dude attacks with 2 attacks. He can choose a) an Ogre dude, b) the Champion, c) the Butcher, or d) a combination of above.
If the WoC dude wounds the Champion or the Butcher the wounded model gets the Putrefication -debuff. What happens if the WoC dude wounds a rank-and-file Ogre? Who gets the defbuff? Is it the whole unit - since the unit is wounded? Or is it the first model to die? If last then you'd need to roll to-wounds one at a time to see when the debuff stops and you start killing healthy dudes. Or is it Something Completely Different?
Edit: Dakka breaks code-tags.

Yeah its designed so its not game breaking against multi wound normal units, so if you do 5 attacks on rank and file, all 5 wound, 1 ogre removed, 2 wounds and the debuff on a rank and file in BTB with the chaos character, probably at the choice of the chaos player id imagine
EDIT: yeah typing that made it clear why this is a confusing situation and im probably incorrect!
