It's not a competitive game, playing against my buddies Tau, let me know what you guys think, this is supposed to be a fun list, and I just got some new models so fancied giving them a go.

It's BA vs Tau, unless he's very good, your chances are very high at winning. Your Stormraven might not survive first turn, I would suggest you take extar armour just to get at least 1 turn of shooting out of it

This army should absolutely cream the tau. Just be careful if he has any hammerheads, learnt that lesson the hard way.
One thing I need to know is are the scout squads just there for objective claiming, if your just playing annihilation, I would swap them out for another small downgraded assault squad.

We tend to play random mission types, so chances are we would have objectives, so they are there just to camp and hold. And Hammerheads don't scare me as much, he uses ion cannons, and he doesn't tend to use them as they are usually wasted on my standard non-vehical list that he is used to. Its the broadsides I worry about.

Okay then, since he's using ion cannons instead of rail guns, the broadsides are probably your biggest threat. Either way, you should have this.

It should give me a fresh challenge as I've never used some of these models, this is my normal list...

The stormraven seems like the biggets add on here. Though I'm suprised you took out the vanguard

You will be surprised at how many FNP marines will get the other side and then be impressed with how much damage when they get there.
Drop pods and vanguard are killer, get close and get into cc for the win.

Stormraven is such a huge target but oh well.

Whilst we on it you could bring enough fire power to out shoot them as well. I know the theory is they sit back and shoot, but seriously you can do that better.

O don't worry they will back in I just bought a new stormraven and Ive had some assault terminator sitting around collecting dust so thought why not. The games not competitive and I'm not play testing for any tournaments.
