I notice a definitive quality difference between the pictures I take and their quality after uploading to dakka. Is there any way to circumvent this?

thanks.

It converts to JPEG images at about 85% quality, otherwise the total file size would completely overwhelm us. There is no way around it, you have to use another host for higher quality.

Alright, thanks for the quick info. It never really bothered me but somehow with my new camera the quality difference look rather much bigger. No problem though, I still appreciate dakka's gallery a lot of course.
