I was just curious to know what game type people play most often for 40K and what army you play, how often you win at each ect ect. I have only played 2 games of Objectives in the past year of playing and always en up doing Annihilation for simplicity, however I notice that some armies just have it easier in this game type and want to know what you think.

Well despite the fact the group I play with always dice off for missions usually ends up as mostly killpoints, not that I mind, much simpler than objectives.

We tend to dice off in my playgroup. I guess that means we play objectives more than killpoints, as there are two objective missions on the dice-off table.

2/3 games are going to be objectives, so objective games. I'm fine with it, since there's more thought in it than just killing everything.

We have a mixed group. Some roll off, some feel that objectives are broken in 5th and simply play VP.. since KP is also broken as hell....

Basically we play until someone concedes lol....


KP is a horrible way to play... 1 speeder is worth the same as a Land Raider? Really..... Terrible.

Objectives do offer some more strategy but with Troops being the only scoring units now that too has killed it as a game type...

Why cant 5 Devs secure a point? How do they differ from 5 marines with no Heavy Weapons? Makes no sense. A body is there... thats all that counts.

This is turning into a rant by me lol.... im so bitter at the boring games in 5th... My 3rd edition has some AWESOME mission in it.... we play them from time to time just to actually have fun!

I agree, I just had a game last night nids vs IG, i was nid...i didnt make it past turn 1. nothing to kill anything with.

does anyone just say 'were playing this screw rolling?' we ALWAYS play KP style, which im realizing more and more it favors certain armies.
