Finally started my first actual boyz Mob for my Evil Sunz force today, I'm middway through getting my grotz and deffkoptas painted but if I intend to play in any real games I need to start spitting out boyz mobs like there is no tomorrow. Not satisfied with the stock models for the units I'm trying to customise atleast part of each model that will hit the tables.

The First squad is Shoota Boyz, which will include:
3 Shootas (counts as shootas)
5 Kromlech Shotguns (counts as shootas)
4 Kromlech Backpacks (spread throughout)
Assault cannon counts as Bigshoota boy

Butcher of the Yut'ak Confederation - Combi Shoota/Rokkit, Power Claw, Bloodied Apron (Counts as Boss Pole), Face Hair Squig

I've been home a few hours with my kit, and have in the past been told that my GS on large fabrics is a little wanting but thought I'd stick with it. I havent hit the 3 Stage fabric method this time purely due to wanting to work quickly so the apron is just a one stage creation.

Combi Shoota is a Big Shoota/Rokkit launcher combi with scope and rope to hold.

The pocket of his apron will be filled with Sharp Bitz when fully set.

Not a big fan of the Face Hair Squig, but the Bloodied Apron sculpt looks fine. You may need a left shoulder pad to hide the shoulder join a little. Gun looks great.

I can see several mould lines on the plastic - remember to clean them up, it really makes a big difference.

Cheers, I didnt spot those mould lines on him but will do a more thorough cleanup before painting him (got a good 24 hour wait on the GS).

I'm sat trying to clean up the shootas that came with the box, this is seriously the most mould lines I've ever had to deal with from a single kit, not sure if its just because its a little bit older than the kits I've used in the past but its riddled with em.

You could smooth out gs joints in the arms as they will show up when painting. I would use liquid gs for that. I really like that "bandage" on the shootarokkit. Your apron also is a bit paper like. I personally went for a bit bulkier:

yeah the GS filler in the arms is gonna need either filling/sanding/LGSing to finish it off, the gap it left wasj uts too big to ignore at the time,

The apron will be burnt to hell, blood smeared and tattered so thin and ropey seemed logical, I'm hoping for it to read "Kiss Da Chef" when finished amidsts the blood smears.

And cheers, the bandage was to hide a nasty join I left in the combi rokkit.
