on the forum. Obviously

So...he has 3 units of warriors
3 of immortals
3 of deaths
and 3 doomsday arks?
How many points are you playing at?

Well, anyway...watch out for deathmarks. They can DS in your lines and assassinate your elites

Doomsday Arks may seem scary...but they can't move in order to fire their S9 AP1 Large Blast. Try to keep out of line of sight. Valkyries may be handy here. If you can hit it enough times with Lascannons, you may score a pen.

And Whatever you do, KEEP YOUR TANKS AWAY FROM SCARABS. They will get eaten.

Should be buisnes as usual for guard, blast them through your superior firepower.

A few points of advice though:

If you are firing on a unit, make sure you destroy it completely, otherwise they will make their reanimation protocol saves, and anywhere from 1/3rd to 1/2 to more will stand back up.

Most Necron Vehicles are Open-topped, so generally a pen is all is needed to blow it up.

Solar Pulses, and Imotekh can really screw with you. Make good use of your searchlights, if he brings either of those.

Normally close combat is a pretty good way to beat the Crons, but since your Guard, just blast him with your superior long-ranged firepower.

This is mostly generalized advice, coming from a Necron player's point of view. Generally, if he's not running a lot of scarabs, be thankful for that.

Good luck!

If he isnt scarab farming you should have a pretty even battle! Best of luck and focus on the things that can penetrate your tanks before going against those that can only glance.

Take out the arks and immortals and keep away from the deathmarks and you should be ok.
