I have been pretty fond of my sister of battle army and coming across all the great projects out there I eventually found people who had build Leviathan tanks, monsters of the battlefield, and I figured why not build one for my own army.

Granted I have less than 4000 points of sisters so having a Leviathan at your disposal may sound silly, but it's still awesome for those apocalypse games.

What started off as a basic project last year:

Stereo cannon when I wanted a flamer... that had to be sent back to the design team!

Has really evolved since...

New cannon type including frontal dozer blade

Side heavy bolters removed to paint apart and re-added later.

While some of my cuts are measurements are not as precise as I wanted them to be I think once the paint job as been completed most of those flaws will vanish... or be sufficient disguised.

I am still looking to make it a tad more ornate (they are sisters of battle after all!) and I am open to suggestions. I will keep some empty spots for stencils, markings etc, but feel free to give feedback.

Looks like its going to be pretty epic. Can't wait to see it completed, just wish I had the creativity/patience to build something like that.
Are you keeping track of what your using/doing? Would be nice to have a guide

Plenty of patience here. This thing had been sitting on my work desk for a few months and I've had periods where I could not stop working on it for a few days in a row.

As for the materials, I have not kept track, but it's quite easy.

The threads are from an old gijoe tank, the avalanche:

There are two 12in metal pins screwed into them to keep them an equal distance apart and the frame was built on top of it.

It's made of foamcore, covered in carton paper. Used some Hob-e-tac to glue the carton. Once that thing got sticky, it was impossible to remove the carton paper which is acting as a decent protection for the thinner paper covering the foamcore.

After that, its a lot bits from various game-workshop kits and a lot of platicard.

The lascannon were also ordered from Bispudio. They were a much cheaper alternative to trying to buy the twin-linked lascannons from the razorback kits.

Nice! Does apoc provide rules for home brewed vehicles like this?

Well it's definately for apocalypse. There's no real existing datasheet for Leviathan, but whats apocalypse for if not to make your own?

Besides, with the help of VDR you can generally come up with something decently priced. Depending on rules I am planning for it, I am thinking it will be around 1200-1500 points.

Some update pictures, started painting on it so here are a few close ups:

Still a lot of painting to do and then even more weathering and battle damage. Thing is so big there's no way to hold it and paint it. It's forcing me to improvise and discover new ways to use a brush, my hand as never steadier than now
