Hey guys!

I was wondering if you guys could comment on my two standing armies: Eldar and Grey Knights. I'd also like input on my Blood Angels list which I'm building from leftover GK units. All 2k points.

First of all, all my lists are fluff-based. However, I do like being somewhat competitive. So the most important critique you can give me is: That doesn't fit the fluff!

Second, what weaknesses could you find in this army? Is any list an insta-lose? Would your list beat mine easily? And lastly, would you enjoy playing against my list?

Thanks in advance for the comments!

Army: Eldritch Raiders (Eldar)

Background: In the darkest hour of Iyanden, the exiled admiral Yriel rallied his massive pirate fleet to his craftsworld's defense. In doing so, he saved the lives of millions of souls - eldar or otherwise. However not all his lieutenants were so willing to return to the arms of Iyanden. One faction, the Eldritch raiders, opted to continuing their space-faring ways. Although accepted in Iyanden, these eldar no longer consider themselves bound to a single craftworld. They claim to serve the entire Eldar race as privateers. However reports on attacks on fellow Eldar to "requisition" resources casts doubt on this claim.

HQ

Army: The Knights of Mortain (GK)

Background: In his quest to destroy Huron Blackheart, Grand Master Mordrak has received Titan's blessing in restoring his brotherhood. He was given a small group of novitiates from various brotherhoods - for no single brotherhood could afford to lose more than just a handful of knights. To guide this ragtag set of novitiates was a detachment of purifiers, commissioned by Castellan Crowe himself. However, what the Grey Knights lack in manpower they make up for in resources. Mighty tanks and ancient Dreadnoughts would bolster Mordrak's fledging brotherhood. Augmenti Still committed to the mission of the Grey Knights, Mordrak leads his small, but dedicated, strike force into battle. But when the odds are against him, he can always rely on his ghostly comrades, eager to protect their living brethren.

HQ
Mordrak
Librarian (Sanctuary, Might of Titan, Shrouding, Rift, 2x Skulls, Tele Homer) <--Casper the Librarian! (Ghostly)
4x Ghost Knights (2x halberd, 1x hammer)

Elites
Purifiers x5 (2x incinerators, 2x Halberds, 1x hammer)
Razorback (TL HB, psybolt)
Vindicare

Troops
10x Terminators (2x psycannon, psybolt, 6x halberd, 2x hammer) - GHOSTS!
5x GK SS
Razorback (TL HB, psybolt)

Heavy Support
Nemesis DK (Heavy Incinerator) -->MacBeth the Ghostly DK!
Dreadnought (Psyfleman)

----

Little explanation here. All the terminators will be painted according to LoTR ghostly men in the mountain. All the ghostly dudes (DK, termies, mordrak+friends) can arrive via deepstrike! Hehe. I'm avoiding spam here, so no 3x psyfles. Also no Paladins, they don't seem the type to be ghosts. Also, I'm aware that GKSS is naked with no psycannon or MC hammer. TBH they're just there to cast warp quake and nab objectives.

Army: The Angry Birds (WIP)

Background: Nobody knows when this chapter was founded, but one of their holiest relics is a device that came from ancient Terra itself. The ability of this device to display primitive pictures of flying bird-like balls hitting green pig-like balls is remembranced in the holy halls of this chapter. To honor this tradition, the librarians of the chapter frequently stage "great raids" to emulate the holy act. Thus, mounted in storm ravens, Furioso Dreadnoughts are rolled toward enemy strongholds, ripping them apart so the Blood Angels inside can launch themselves at the exposed foe.

I love the idea of angry birds, use the orks as pigs
And what color scheme will you use?
fast attack yellow ?
Elites white?

Lol yeah orks!

My storm ravens will be white (coz they are the pooping birds) and the dreadnoughts will the white eggs! And yes, they will have eyebrows!

The troops will be red, yeah. The Terminators and honor guard will be blue (They're the birds that split up)

The Baal pred is yellow coz it outflanks and gak

No idea on the transport color yet.

For the first army, awesome, though it seems to lack units to hold objectives in competitive games. Really like the theme of the army.

For the 2nd army, army's with large amount of terminators always sound awesome, but in my experience always seem to get overwhelmed.
I like the idea of a full (well near full) ghost army of grey knights.

The last list I see on fault with, though I haven't played as or against much blood angel, so not sure.

Either way, all three armies would be very fun to verse and very competitive and true to the chosen background's.

Thanks man! I appreciate the comments.

First army: Yeah, this is my "main" army. I started 40k almost a year ago (wow - that was fast) and struggled with Eldar as my first army. Learned a lot of tricks. Fell in love with the "Fast Skimmer" type. And yes, controlling objectives isn't easy, but contesting them is a piece of cake. When running this list I either get wiped, draw, or lead by just 1 objective

Second army: Yeah I read the GK codex and was like GHOSTS? OMG. At first I wanted to make Mordrak look like a ghostbuster, but then realized it didn't make sense. The idea of "Ghostwing" is to cause a lot of randomness and hopefully capitalize off enemy's mistakes. This army relies a lot on proper positioning to get the job done right.

Third army: Haven't play-tested! I was playing around with my storm raven and wondered if I could fit 2 in my GK list. I realized no (boo). I then thought about BA, and just played around with the dex a bit. Angry Birdz! If I ever get to make this army (still painting 1 and 2) I'll be sure to give them all unibrows!
