I've been a collector of tyranids up until a week ago, when I decided to give the 'nids to another hive tyrant in exchange for his dark eldar food supply.

Now, I've been thinking about paint schemes... and I have a few in mid. The one I'm wanting to go with is black, gold with touches of pink and purple. I would have normally just gone with with it, but as I haven't seen anyone else going with this theme is there some piece of fluff that I'm missing that means this combination of black and gold is uncanon?

I'd just grab a model and paint it..... that is usually the best way to find out if it looks good. Alternatively, you could paint it on paper.

and painting rule #1 is: you paint for yourself, not for others. So do what you lwant, not what others tell you to do. (wich doesnt mean you shouldn't listen to advice, of course )

I;d like to see a pink dark eldar army with a black trim, maybe I should do that myself, hmmmm. I'd say go for it but it would look a lot like the black legion which is probably why no one has gone for it yet.

Yeah, that is what I thought, but I my test model doesn't look too 'black legion' thus far.

I shall post it up on here, in the correct forum, when its done later today.
