So I recently got some Eldar tanks in trade and they are missing a few pieces. Most of it is easy to replace but for the life of me I cant find any canopies. Anyone have any ideas on how to create some? Paper, plastic, or other...?

It looks like the top half group in this link has a canopy. I dont know much about eldar tanks but it could help.

I don't like your chances of building your own canopy (presuming you want it for a Tau army, as opposed to e.g. a looted ork vehicle). If you can't find canopies on a bits website, personally I'd make them into 'crashed/destroyed vehicles' terrain. Possibly an expensive use of models though... :(

Other than the canopies and the weapon shields, they are pretty much complete. Id hate to waste the few tanks I have for that as money is pretty tight as always. Just kinda needed some ideas on what might work for that.

The nails idea may work but kind of...weird.

Money is so tight buying bits is out of the question? Can we reccomens that you just hang onto them until you can buy some canopies?

Heh no Id buy the bits if they existed. But Ive looked all over and dont see anywhere I can buy just the canopies. Buying a whole hull to get the canopy is a bit much imo.

just put yourself down to order a few and when in stock you'll be notified.

If lucky, there could already be some in stock and site just hasn't updated. It's happened to me with this site, and I still highly recommend them.

Green-stuff over the entire thing flush with the edges, carve in some Eldar Runes, and say the thing is piloted by a Wraith-Spirit.

looks for scale models, like the snap together kits you can get cheap, you may be able to find some that will be reasonably easy to convert into using and usually ata fraction of the cost. I know i've done that before.

I like Absolutionists' and Ardor's ideas best I think. Seriously, $10.00 USD per canopy on that site. Ouch...
