I am going to paint my Death Korp of Krieg soon and have decided on a paint shceme that uses mainly blacks and grey's. Is using an instant shader recommended, or is this paint scheme one that dosent really need to be shaded.

I shade/wash over darkish colours. The good news is that it usually looks pretty good. Just be sure that the base coats are slightly brighter than the final result you want - definitely worth doing a test model first.
